M 41 Ultradot Match Dot Install
I have a new (Manufactured 3-2010) Model 41 with 5" barrel.
With the the installation rings that come with an Ultradot Match Dot sight and a Wiegand SWM41 barrel adaptor will I have to remove the iron sights to install this sight?
And thank you.

I don't know about the Wiegand , but I have a Weaver model 62 base on my tapped 5.5" barrel and the factory Matchdot mounts work great as is.

Thanks for the answers. Midway USA delivered the Ultradot Match Dot sight and a Wiegand SWM41 barrel adaptor today. (In 3 days, bulk USPS)
Sight is mounted and no problems with interference with the Iron Sights. (other than can not use them with dot scope installed, but I didnt expect to do that)
Hopeful to have it at the range tomorrow.

I was having inconsistent zeroing problems with my Matchdot until someone on one of the forums mentioned that the zero may change slightly with dot size selection. I now zero with the size dot I intend to use, no problems. This is probably not a problem with larger target sizes.

Ultradot Matchdot is fantastic. I can now align my sight with the target versus seeing the fuzzy iron sights.
