So a guy walks into a pawn shop...
$604 later he walks back out carrying this.
That is the abreviated version of the story. I actually found it online, bid on it, won the auction and an hour later took a ten minute drive to pick it up.
It looks almost new, I would be surprised if it has 100 rds through it.
It is my second PC pistol and first that is 9mm. Two PC mags but no box or papers. There is no model# on it. What was it called it a "Shorty 9", PC9? They just called it a 5906.
Thanks, Mike

I am glad it is as nice as I thought it was. I also made some bids on it, and then handcuffed myself to the chair while the auction clock ticked down to the end. You also got it at a very good price. I believe it is a 6906 not a 5906 and was called a PC9. I have the Shorty 9 and a 9 Recon, both are 6906 models. I have qualified with my 9 Recon; it is smooth, accurate and handles great.
Send me your email address, and I will send you a flyer on the PC9.

That is seventeen kinds of sweet. Maybe eighteen! I'm a fan of the 3d Gen S&Ws in general, I've heard wonderful things about the PC guns, and I'm a particular fan of the 69xx series. (My 6944 is just wonderful.) Nice score.

Thanks Guys. I think anytime you can get something from the PC shop for $600 you will not regret it. I see a lot of polymer pistols approaching that price point today.
RC, Thanks for the generous offer, my email address is on the way.

That is a nice one! I picked up a 3913 a couple years back and keep thinking I need to try the double stack sibling. Congrats

PC9s are fantastic pistols, I bought on that looked just like your with the blackened slide. I sent it back to the Performance Center to have them bead blast and polish the slide because I thought it would look neat, plus added night sights. What do you think? I wanted something unique and S&W happily provided it.

What are your plans for the new gun? Since its a PC, it has some extra value with collectors. But, since its a PC, it probably will shoot lights out. Are you going to carry and shoot it, or are you going to put it up carefully in the safe and leave it there?

M318,
That looks nice.
I assumed that this pistol being Blued was carbon steel? Is it Stainless with melonite or some other black finish?

I probably wont carry it as I have a couple other 3rd Gen 9mm's that I use as my ccw. I am going to "put it up carefully in the safe" each and every time I am done shooting the hell out of it. Collector value is not something I concern myself with.
