Default Shield w/Apex vs Shield PC

Apologies if anyone's answered this already and I couldn't find the answer here but I'm looking to get a Shield and really liked the PC version except for the ported barrel. For me, the trigger was excellent. And I really did not like the regular shield trigger. My question is - is the Shield with an Apex kit the same/better/just different than the PC? Just as good? I other words, am I better off with the regular shield and putting in the Apex or just getting the PC version even though I don't prefer the porting? Unfortunately, I don't have an opportunity to try the Shield with the Apex. Thanks for your thoughts.

(I was thinking of getting a Ruger LC9S but am liking the Shield more for my next purchase...)
