45??
Ok guys, Ive been on the hunt for a 4513TSW non rail and while I have seen some on gunbroker I havent seen or felt one in person.
BUT yesterday I did find one that I believe was all SS. It was just about the same size as my 4013TSW but a heavy bitch.. What model number would the all SS 45 be? The show is over today.
Should I even think about trading mine for it? Mine is my carry and I really like it, but a 45,,, unfortunately, I dont have funds for a "new" one...

The rail-less 4513TSW has the compact grip with the front chopped off, so it can use CS45 magazines. The 4516 has the same overall profile, but has a stainless frame and a complete compact grip.

ok, I know the grip wasnt chopped for the smaller mag... but I dont remember the mag sticking out like this one.
(but then again, it might not have had the mag in it... BUT I do remember a "-1" after the model number. What does this mean??

Basically like all -1, -2, etc...mostly an update/upgrade from the previous model but, I don't know what all was altered not having one myself. Someone who has one or knows more of the differences should be able to chime in and tell you.
Maybe this will help.
advice on a 4516

The Model 4513 TSW was a compact version fitted with the TSW kit: light alloy frame, ambidextrous safety, Xenoy wrap-around grips, tritium inlays for the sights, no hammer spur, and a rail under the frame for accessories. It was introduced in 2000, and is still being manufactured. The 4553 is a similar weapon, but from an earlier series, it was introduced in 1999 and is still in production.
The Model 4516 is a compact version of the 4506, with a frame and slide of stainless steel, Novak Lo-Mount rear sight, and wrap-around Xenoy rear sight. It was introduced in 1991, and was produced until 1999. In 1992, the trigger guard was squared, and it was then known as the 4516-1.

4513TSW
There are a few non-rail 4513TSW that don't have the shorter grip/mags.
Here's mine...

KurtC,
Are you positive CS45 magazines will work in a rail-less 4513TSW?
The SWU #'s are different,
SKU : 237420000 7RD for the 4513TSW and
SKU : 263810000 6RD for the CS-45
Regards,

I would like to know how you managed to get your hands on this.. The frame appears to be machined for the rail, yet it also looks like it was never drilled and tapped for it. Unlike my 4013TSW, my frame was not even made for the rail.

Not to hijack the thread
he says as he posts again
18DAI: It's a good thing it's stainless as I drooled over it before I got it. It's okay you're green--it brings out your Irish
Punisher: How did I get my hands on this.....just lucky I guess...must be the luck of the Irish
