Default Going rate for 52-2?--have to part ways

I have a 52-2 I'm going to sell--I'm going in another direction for bulleye/pin shoots and need a 45.

Made 1974, with factory SW barrel weight, box, cleaning kit, wrench, all papers including flyers for SW ammo and knives. All original grips and parts, no modifications

Has 5 magazines, plus Aimtech grip mount for red dot (I have the original pins that Aimtech replaces with screws)

About 95% condition--only some scratches under barrel wt. on the right side and for the weight set screw on the bottom of the frame. All are invisible when the weight is on the gun.

I have chance at a private sale and may post here on the classifieds--want to stay away from the auctions.

Any idea what I should ask for? I'm thinking perhaps $1,400 based on auctions but thats hard to say as some guns stay on them forever and never sell
Thanks,
Steve

Around where I live there are two for sale. One almost unfired with two magazines for $1100 and has been sitting in the shop for a while (I already have one but might buy it). Just saw it last week. Another for $ 1500 that has some significant wear (blueing gone on front and rear of grip) but with a whole bunch of magazines, checkered Jay Scott walnut target grips and a slide mounted red dot. Don't know if its still there though I haven't been back to that shop in a long time.

Some people in my club bought some 52-2s this year and they paid between $750 and $1200 for them.

I would think that if you don't want to sit on it for a while, $1,000 would be a good asking price. $1,200 if you are willing to wait a month or so.

Well the 52-2 with box and papers probably around $850-1000.00 depending on actual condition high side for yours considering the condition you gave. Also the original S&W weight set around $250.00 +/-the extra magazines if they have the metal follower I would think $45-65.00+/- depending on the person you sell to or the action on an auction site.

Thanks guys--I might take a private sale for $1200 to $1250 to a guy I know who'll give it a good home--don't think I want the fees and agravation of an auction.
On the other hand, shot it at league tonight--what a pleasure===if he doesn't take it, I'll probably keep it. A 45 I can get anytime, this gun I don't think I'd ever luck on to again.
Just have to save a few bucks up I guess!

Thanks for the help--if I do sell it to someone else, I'll put it here first
