Default What model in .45 is closest to Shorty.40?

I'm mainly a .45 guy but I bought a (PC) Shorty.40mk3 the other week. I was wondering what S&W .45 model is closest to the Shorty.40?

It doesn't have to be a performance center. Would the model I am looking for be the S&W 4583tsw?

Thanks.

The Shorty 45. Same Performance Center action & Briley bushing.

They are scarce, and expensive, but well worth it! Regards 18DAI.

You really won't find a exact match, all the .45s' are single stack so the grips thinner and longer front-to-rear. The 4583 is more of a Commander size, full sized grip. The compacts beside the PC Shorty 45 would be the 457, 4516, 4553(DAO) and 4513 both in TSW versions also.

Another close one would be the CS45 with a 3 1/4" barrel where the Shorty 40 were 3 1/2"

Then there is the PC 45 Recon if you can take the ported 4 1/4" barrel. This comes in black and stainless versions. If you really want the cat's meow, you can get the .45 C.Q.B. This is a 4" barrel and comes in all black, tutone, and all stainless. It is a highly sought after PC Pistol and is very versatile.
