Default 41 PC

A Performance Center 41 has just been released. I always wondered why the 41 was not a PC pistol? What is the deal with this new 41PC?

This is a dealer exclusive with the dealer being Davidson's in Arizona.
A homely front sight is the 'extinguishing' feature. The rest of the superlatives are questionable - IMO - and may not make much, if any, difference over the 'plain Jane' version.

Because the 41 is already pretty much a hand fitted / assembled flagship item and has little if anything to gain from going thru the performance center.

I find the idea of a PC 41 to be a bit puzzling. First of all, the gun is made in Maine in a dedicated facility and not at Springfield. Second, I can't understand how they could make the trigger any lighter and crisper than the trigger on the "regular" 41 or how they could make the gun any more accurate than it is. Or, improve the fit and finish, for that matter.
