Trijicon night sights for 3913 question
Anyone swap out the Novaks for Trijicon Night Sights on a 3913? Does it require Smithing (how much $)? Looks like Optics Planet is the place to get them.. Pro's or Cons? I need better low light sight picture without needing my glasses. Thanks to all... Dave

Hi Dave,
I am waiting on a set for my CS9 from Optical planet.I have checked with a local Gun shop and they usually charge around $50 to change out the Novaks. To me,it is worth it to pay and have it done as I am hesitant to try mounting them in place with a hammer and drift.

You could always send your slide to Novak's and have them install a tritium front sight. Looks like $54+$20 for installation and about $15 for shipping.
Here is the link: Genuine Novak Sights

SA08 or SA24 recommended?
Which model Trijicon sight is the best choice for the 3913...the SA08 (long rear Novak style @ $120) or the SA24 @$105?

The XS Big Dot model SW0003P5 is good choice. It is drop in front minimum fitting rear. I just put one on my CS9. The Big Dot over post is much easier for my 64 year old eyes. The rear sight has a much lower profile. XS Sight Systems - Handgun Sights - 24/7 Express

Hey guys,Richard 3 here.I'm still trying to find a working sight or sights for my CS9.Aside from Trigicon and meprolight I was told by a gun tech at Brownells I should try a front white dot novak sight that's lower to .165".Anybody try this or is there something shorter someone can recommened? My CS9 shoots low/left couple inches (115 grain @ 10-12 ft using hand rest)and the front sight measures in at .205"H.I can't afford a set of Trigicons and want to use this as my carry when I get my CCW next month.Any "IN-SIGHT"(yeah I know) would be appreciated. If I can't find a decent sight or set for this CD9 I might consider sellier her or doing a trade.Really don't want to she's a great little gun. Thanks and shoot me your suggestions.

To the original OP: You might ask your LGS what they would charge to install the sights. They are well aware of the online stores prices, & sometimes will compete. When I wanted Trijicons for my M&P40c, I asked them what they would charge to install them. They gave me two prices, one for if I bought the sights from them, & another if i brought in the sights.Their price, installed & out the door, was little more than the online price. So that's the way I went. Hope this helps!

SA25
I had a set of "Trijicon SA25 Smith&Wesson Novak Full Size" on my 4006. When I got my 3913, I switched the sights over to it.
I went with Optics Planet is because the sights were described as "Special Order" and had a fresh date code when they arrived.
At the time, the Meprolight sights I found for this application were already 3 years old and they were from the most current production batch and from a major Meprolight distributor.
Always check the date codes.
