Default BG 380 Observation

I bought a BG 380 when they first came out in the EAA series and although never shot it was concerned about the problems. I did field strip it and clean it however. I got rid of it and now have a late SN# EAF series.

I noticed how easy the takedown pin came out on the EAA and how stubborn and difficult it was to remove on the EAF. Wonder if that was part of the fix. Also saw a You tube clip commenting how difficult the pin was to remove on the recent releases. Sounds like progress and a good thing. Also like the new ring around the laser buttons.

Rotate it to between 6 - 7 o'clock and it will come right out. Sometimes I have to use a small screwdriver to pop it out enough so that my finger can get ahold of it. When re-installing it, place it at 3:00 and press in until it clicks. Be sure that the barrel is completely forward in the slide by holding the gun downward before inserting the pin otherwise it will go in but you won't be able to fully work the slide.
