I'm new to Smith and Wesson and the Forum so First Off Hello!!!!
I just got a Bodyguard 380 (EAH) and i'm having issues getting the takedown lever all the way down. i can get it around the 5 o clock position but it won't go down the rest of the way so i can get the gun taken apart. Any Ideas? I might just shoot it and hope that would loosen it a little.

I had the same problem . I have a EAF. It will go, you need to use something to help it . Just don't use something that will scratch it.
The newer bg 380 take down pins are very hard to remove because they have been tightened up considerably due to the initial problem of then popping out after 50 rounds or so. You do need to give it help with some strong thin flat object like a pen knife or small screw driver being VERY careful not to scratch it. I used a small part of a cleaning patch to buffer it.
I have had one of the earlier and one of the newer releases and I agree getting it out is a bear!
Just use a piece of plastic for the first couple times so you don't break a finger nail, it gets easier. It will need to swing past the indent. It will go to about the 9 o'clock position then slide out. As it goes over the "hump" of the indent it will not touch so don't worry about scratching it.
Have fun shooting.
