3913TSW with Rail - who can make a holster?
I have been looking for a good 9mm CCW gun - I narrowed it down to the P239 and a 3913. I have been going back and forth for like 2 months. They are both nice - however, I have several 3rd generations and I guess the S&W just seemed more natural to me. Can't say anything bad about that P239 though. Anyway, I just found a nice (95-98%) S&W 3913TSW with rail (wanted at TSW but not sure I wanted a rail but it was so nice) at Cabelas. Has the black levers which I think classes it up a bit and I kind of like the billboard labeling on the slide (I normally don't but on this I think it is okay). I am having transfered to the Cabelas in my home state so I can buy it. Very anxious to shoot it.
Long story short, I would like a nice quality but fairly priced OWB holster to carry strong side with a slight forward cant for carry just behind the hip. I know some folk drill the rivits out and pull the rail and then plug the holes. However, this gun is a little to nice for that and the rail really adds only about an 1/8 of an inch to the slide height. I know that 1/8 inch would make sure it would not fit in a non-rail 3913 holster - so I guess my challenge is to get a holster made that will fit my 3913TSW gun with the little rail on it. Do any of you folks know any small leather makers that make a nice quality holster - not fancy but well designed and made with quality leather and good workmanship? I really like supporting the small business guys over the big commercial holster makers.
Thanks for the assist,
FordTrax

I am pretty sure I have a mold for the 3913tsw with rail. Any leather maker can make you a holster with the mold. Send me a PM

You might also give Lobogunleather a try...he is a member also and has high quality holsters and short delivery time. I am currently using a Kramer #3 IWB for mine that I got in a pawn shop for $5.00.

Another recommendation would be Andrew's Leather.

Here are a couple more suggestions.
Side Guard Holsters - OWB Holsters - The Slide
He is a member here and is local to me. Seen his stuff at the shows. Too bad I didnt find him before I started making one for myself.
and then there is Tandy Leather.
Tandy Leather Factory - Bullseye Minimal Holster Kit
I bought this one for myself and being a lefty, I had to mirror the leather. I really like the belt on as apposed to the clip on.
Tandy has a lot of other "kits" that you can do yourself too.

If you don't mind a IWB, Crossbreed does a great job and may have one available for that gun. I have a 3913 that I carry in one. Love it.

I know this is an old post, but I recently bought a 3913TSW and am interested in a holster. I was interested in a Mitch Rosen holster, but I just called and spoke to Mitch. Apparently he is not too fond of S&W's and referred to them as "marketing guns" - whatever that is.
He said he could not make a holster for a 3913TSW without having my gun in hand and he would charge an additional $ 300, plus the holster charge.

I have a DeSantis number 80 IWB holster and it fits my M3914TSW (w/rail) almost perfectly. I think this holster is intended for a SIG 220 and other SIGs of about the same size. FWIW

the best IWB holster I've ever used was a Mitch Rosen ARG. Too bad they don't make it for a 6906. I'd be happy if there was one made for another gun but it would fit.

Check out Alessi Holsters. They show a 3913TSW on their list. I've got an order in with them right now for a 4013TSW.

Gould and Goodrich seems to still make a LOT of 3rd Gen stuff for S&W. I just ordered a small-of-back holster from them. GALLS and officerstore.com had a good selection.

I just ordered a holster for my 3913TSW from Lobo Leathers. Very nice looking and reasonably priced. I do see that Alessi also makes holsters for the same gun.
