Default Pachmayr Conversion

I'm still working on trying to settle a friend's estate. Most of the items are easily evaluated, but there is an '80s vintage Piers Stahl made Pachmayr .22 conversion kit (still in the wooden box, with instructions and warrantee card) for S&W 39, 52 or 59 that has me a little bit stumped. Does anyone have an idea of fair market value for this unit?

I might add that the family safe (my family) contains both a 39 and a 52, so I am seriously thinking about buying it myself, so I want to be scrupulously fair at both ends, of course.

TIA ~ Froggie

I've found prices for units for the Colt Gov't Model and the Browning Hi-Power, but not for the Smiths. Since this is Smith Central, I've got high hopes somebody here will be a Pachmayer and Smith afficianado.

PS OK, looks like nobody has any firsthand info. How about other look-up suggestions? 114 readings and only one PM and one reply...

Over 120 reads now with only one suggestion and one offer to buy. Are these units really that rare or is this too far afield from the Smith & Wesson mainline to generate any real interest here? I'd really like to get this settled with the friend's widow and move on if possible. As with all things requested, TIA!!

I'll take a guess. I wouldn't pay anymore than what a good Colt conversaton would cost. They are hard to find and harder to value. I'd guess anything under $300 would be a good price. I'd certainly buy it for that as I have 2 model 52's and could use it on one of them.

Value in the $275 - $350 range. Verify that all required parts are there. Unless complete, will not function - and then generally not a "drop in" situation. Correct mag is key to fit SS or DS size. They tend to be FUSSY
