Very nice...

I have a 910S, Only S&W Simi-Auto I have left. Had to sell the others in '08 to cover Med bills...

I do still have 2 S&W Revolvers also...

I can relate. On the bright side, you can also purchase these fine firearms down the road when your situation improves. Years ago I had to sell 2 of my prized firearms: a S&W 686 :-( and a S&W 6906 :-(

When things improved economically, I was able to purchase another 6906...and then some.... as evidenced by my photos. I never did acquire a 686 however I would like to purchase a Model 629 44 magnum!

Best of luck to you...

Is that a Shorty Forty? That is one fine firearm! I would like to add one to my collection down the road. Prices for the Shorty Forty average about $1,000 depending on condition.

It is, Jetpilot007. Unbelievably, I traded a Star .40 Starvel Firestar straight up for it. I tried to convince the pawn shop owner that is was something special and it was worth much more than the Firestar, but he insisted all Smiths are Jam-o-matics, and said he was glad to be rid of it.

Great collection. I own a 39-2 9mm and love it. However I am a big fan of the 45acp. A CS45 is at the top of my next gun list.

Gunbroker periodically has CS 45s. About a year ago there was a fellow who was selling brand new in the box cs45s for about 600. I need to get a cs9 to complete my collection.

Hopefully, you didn't get mine, it WAS a Jam-O-Matic! It was a terrible gun, and even after S&W worked on it, it wasn't reliable enough to depend on, it jammed with FMJ ammo, let alone hollowpoints.I replaced it with an Astra A-75 I got very cheap, a totally reliable gun that I sold for two reasons, mostly just because I needed cash, and that it also was painful to shoot. I got an A-75 in 9mm later on instead, and it's as reliable as the .40 was.

If you are referring to the 1076 I cannot say anything bad. Works like a charm. And it was sent to S&W due to the stamping on it. But keep in mind even if I did have issues with it I would have sent it to S&W for repair.

Sorry to hear about your 4053, mine has been flawless. It even feeds empty cases like a champ. Everybody let's a turkey out every once in a while, I had a 70 series Colt that had a hammer machined off center that would hit the slide on the way down. They never could get it to run correctly.
