Gun trading sickness

i trade guns all the time.....sometimes not actually swapping gun for gun with another person....most of the time i find something i cant live without and buy it and then figure out what guns i have at home that i can sell to pay for it.......kind of fun to see which guns get the "boot" when the "new flame" is on its way.

I've used your method more than once. Over the last few years the quality of my collection has certainly gone up. This thread is humorous...maybe because it hits so close to home!

Wow. All this time I have been thinking I was the only one like this, and then I read 410bore's quote. This is exactly how I am. I think I have a "complete" collection, and then I fall in love with another gun. I usually end up selling or trading one off to get my "latest attraction." It does force me to prioritize my collection, that's for sure. It's interesting every time I get the urge for something new, seeing which gun I am willing to part with. Some of my pieces I know I'll have for life, but some are trade fodder, no doubt about it!
 
I went and got a new vaccination but it didn't work, just bought a like new CZ 75b. and fun rolls on. Hussky

Reading that must mean that ive been sick for a long long time! lol. I couldve told that same story about 10 times.
 
I have been guilty of going in to pay off a lay away and during the paperwork I see something else that starts the skin itch feeling. Next thing I know something else is on layaway again. So far that is the extent of my sickness.

I think there is still hope for you if you see a good therapist (22 years old blonde drop dead body) and you will be just fine. but then you may have worst problem. Hussky
 
Spending money on guns gives me fewer problems later...

They are even less trouble than having a dog...

And if she knew I was saying this it's likely she would threaten to neuter me...

I am also an old man (70) and if we can't have some fun buying and shooting then life wouldn't be worth living. Maybe i have my priorities screwed up? Hussky
 
Well I got it again. I may regret this but i just put my never sell, S&W 539 on the For sale block. I just bought a CZ75b that i love and i don't need 2 long range guns. So i am either selling or trading the 539 for a compact sized gun in 9mm. Not a pocket size, i have a Taurus PT709 (pocket size) that i also like, even though it is a Taurus. The fever never goes away. Hussky
 
You guys make me look sane.
I thought I was crazy when I traded a Gen 3 Glock 30 for a S&W 681 no dash 4".
 
Three years ago I had 7 pistols and now I have 40 so yea I guess I have the fever also although 80% of mine are S&W revolvers. Yes it's a very slippery slope we play on.
 
If you bought a new safe, that is the largest Heritage makes and is 3x the size of the 1st safe, which you still have....is there any hope if it is already full?
