Default BG380 front sight removal???

Whenever I shoot my BG380 the front sight loosens and drifts off to the left. As a result, I want to remove it, degrease it, and re-install with a drop of Loc-tite, which will hopefully anchor it sufficiently.

My question is, which direction do I need to drift the sight in order to remove it. As I mentioned, currently it heads off to the left when shot, but I'm not sure if that is also the way it needs to go for removal. So, left? Right?

Thanks,
Scott

Default Sight

I am interested also. I dropped mine and chewed up the front sight. I bought a nylon drifted but buggered the tool up trying to get the sight off. S&W was kind enough to send me a sight foc but can't get the old one off.

I also am interested. I am trying to drift both front and rear sight, and am unable to move either using a brass and nylon punch and padded vise. More aggression???

Oops! I see this is an old post.
