Bought Me a "New" 3913
When I was a young officer, I alternated between S&W revolvers and S&W semi autos - depending on the mood of the current Sheriff.
In the 1980's the department went to Glocks. I am not a big Glock fan, but as the years passed I got away from the S&W autos.
I recently bought an M&P 9. I love it and it is my new primary pistol.
This weekend I was offered a very good deal on a like new 3913. Has two mags, the box and instruction sheet. It came with night sights, but they are dead. No problem. Night sights are fine, but I don't generally have them on my guns.
I will shoot the new 3913 later this week. I am glad I was able to scoop up this little shooter!

Sir, You have just bought one of the finest CCW guns on the market. As to your night sights, you can send your slide to trijicon for replacement tubes if you feel so inclinded, plus if you feel like it you can put a regular hammer on her. Its what I did with mine years ago, just looks better to me with the full hammer. I've had many guns come and go, but the 3913 won't be going anywhere till I'm gone.
Here she sits next to my sons Beretta 92 Centurion.
PS, Congratulations on your new find!!!!!!!

That's a good looking no nonsense gun. I carry its value line cousin the 457S on most days and I also own a 3913. Nothing is better for concealed carry.

It has been said before, but I'll say it again; you can't beat a 3913 for concealment, accuracy and reliability. I love mine and would never part with it.

There great guns enjoy.I bought mine new in I think 85 it was my first 9mm. It has an easy 20,000 to 25,000 rds through it. I never expected it to last with the alloy frame but it has. Broke a firing pin spring about 5 yrs ago and replaced all the springs at that time (a bit of pm). Other than that its been as reliable as the sunrise. Its been a fun little gun. Oh, its a 3913 NL. I'll post some pics when I figure out how to. IDP nice Centurion.

Wow, 1985.I was just getting out of the Air Force back then. I wish I had started buying guns then too but I hadn't gotten interested in shooting just yet. Another fifteen years before I started stocking the safe.
That is amazing, 20 to 25K rounds with no catastrophic failures of any kind. Just spring R&R's. If that's the life span of these S&W's, my 6906 will last me for the rest of my life. And it'll be good to go for the next few people who own it after I croak.

3913 ranks right up there with a Sig239. Smith ought to consider the 3913 for a run of classics.

I don't feel old but then I look in the mirror---- Her rails are shinny and some anodizing is gone around the trigger guard. Its suprised me that its lasted but I have a Sig P220 with over 60,000. It looks worn but not worn out. Keep them cleaned and greased and paper don't care if its +P.

Nice gun sir. I have owned 2 and kicked myself for letting either go. I DID just pick up a CS9 from my lgs today. It was laying in the case & called my name. Now I'll have to see if the comparisons are legit!! Enjoy that fine pistol!!

Very nice. I shot a dealers sample at a "factory day" at a local shop years ago when the 3913 first came out. I was impressed but never got around to buying one. Until recently, I'd forgoten how much I wanted one. Yours is another reminder. Enjoy. Can't wait for your range report.

Starman, congratulations. The 3913 is a very reliable pistol, and looks and carries wonderfully. Definitely a keeper.
LDP, what sights is yours wearing?

Couple of weeks ago I saw a pink Ladysmith (3913) with a few light scratches, in a pawn shop. Looked like it had never been fired. The owner of the pawn shop said that it belonged to a lady who's husband bought it for her and she carried in her purse, but was afraid of it. Anyway he was selling it for her for $250. No box, papers, etc. I know the grips could be changed out and it seems like the frame was pink (might be wrong). If it was anodized pink could it be blasted off and how would you finish it? Would it be worth $225. to do some mods to? I like 4570's hammer and putting on 3 dot sights. Maybe do some trigger work if needed.

The 3913 should still be in the regular catalog! Screw polymer- stainless and aluminum alloy rule.
I have a LEO trade-in 3913 that will out shoot any 9MM pistol I've ever owned except a target sight equipped Browning High Power. Fantastic pistols.

Standard model for all S&W semi's, you will have to trim the hammer arm for it to function as the ones sold are for full sized S&W's.
