39-2 holster ideas?
I bought a nickel 39-2 a bit ago, and I seriously love it. I bought it because it was pretty (yes i will admit it) and was pleasantly surprised at how well i shot it the first time i picked it up. It is really well balanced.
I don't anticipate carrying it except maybe in winter when i can wear a jacket, but I haven't found a holster for it yet.
Do any of you have favorites?
Appreciate the ideas

Galco CM244 or CM244B - paddle holsters. IWBs just don't work for me.
I have a few of these for the 3rd gens - 5906, 4566, 39 and 39-2. Each started with it's own brand new, and although they kinda-sorta fit in each others now, breaking it in with the intended weapon makes them fit well.
I also have an old Lobo paddle for the 39 as well that's a bit smaller and is by far the most used. Lobo still lists the 39 as a model they can accomodate.

The model 39 was absolutely the best feeling gun I've ever held...I regret to this day selling mine. I'll have another one someday. Holsters aren't hard to find. Try posting a thread in the WTB forum...I bet lots will show up.

Mine ride in a Kramer #3. or Bianchi 3S IWB You would also do well to check with Ray (lobogunleather.com) his product is great, well made, well thought out and reasonably priced. Should be a very available product.I have bought several on eBay as well as local gun shops, pawn shops etc.

Safariland or Hunter...these two are very comfortable. The Hunter offers a little more protection. I don't think the Safariland (suede lined) is made anymore, but can be found at shows and online.

I use the Bianchi 19L at work, for my 645.
Great holster. That one gets my vote. Regards 18DAI.

There was similar post recently ,
My vote is the Sfariland with the wire or Bianchi #19 with a belt.

Most any 1911-pattern holster will suffice for a 39-2.
I like the Fobus C21 paddle holster.
The slide release chews the holster a bit - but who cares? - its a $20 holster, and it WORKS.

I found this new in the bag Safariland suede lined thumb break last year on a evil auctions site. I used one years ago for of duty and it concealed well and was very comfortable.

Based on what I've read in this thread, I ordered the "BlackHawk CQC SERPA Belt Holster Right Hand Black Colt Commander Carbon Fiber Belt Loop and Paddle 410542BK-R" from Amazon. My prime cost was 37.33 with free shipping. I will let you know how it fits.

I just went through my box of holsters, looking for a good fit for my two new 39's. I found that anything made (I have a few customs) for the Glock 19 (or 23!) fits like a glove. I have since added a laser guard to my G19, so my original custom leather holsters no longer work with it. But, it is as if they were made for the the 39's. Very cool!

My alloy 39-2 did NOT fit into this particular holster. Seems the trigger guard is too wide for this particular holster. Back to the drawing board.

Zombie thread......but look at Simply Rugged or Lobo Gun Leather. Both are quality holsters built by quality guys.

I bought a Tex Shoemaker Model 17 PL for mine. It is a nice tan basket weave paddle holster. The paddle is very stiff and slides down inside the pants; a loop fastens onto the belt; another loop snaps over the hammer. Very nice for the 39-2!!!!

My favorite is Avenger... Bianchi used to sell them as Askins Avenger. I like the way the second rear belt slot pulled the butt in so it's less likely to print.

You can't go wrong with a good quality pancake. The 39 rides high and tight in one and conceals well. If you can find an original Roy Baker, buy it.

Bianchi #19 for me. No "L". I'm assuming that's for the left-handed folk?
