S&W Model 422 Target
I ran across a very nice (unfired) Model 422 4.5" Target. The guy said it hasn't ever been fired. He has the box, and paperwork with it. It looks like it is new. What is a fair price to offer?

I have never seen a target version of the 422/622 pistols. They were offered with fixed or adjustable sights. There was a target version of the stainless #2206.
I sold this #422 back in March for $300.00 shipped.
SOLD: S&W #422 pistol

Model 422 Target
The guy wants $300 for it, and will not come off of it.

If you plan on carrying it alot, you would be better served with a #622 or a all stainless #2206. The finish on the #422 is not very tough. I am a fan of this series of pistols.
This is the only "Target" version.

S&W 422/622/2206
I think the price of these guns have been steadily going up since the day S&W stopped making them. I had a M422, 4.5" bbl, fixed sights back in the early '90's. I bought it for $160 used, used it to hunt rabbits for a year or two, then sold it for $160. I lived in upstate NY at the time, and you could hunt small game with a semi rimfire. What a blast! I think I could probably get $250 for the same gun today. I purchased a used M2206, 6" bbl, adj sights within the last year or so. I paid $285 with one mag, no box, no paperwork. I thought that was a good deal, but I really wanted to get one of these great little guns back in the collection.
For the gun you describe, I do not think you would overpay at $300. You will have a blast shooting it, once you get it home. Good luck.

I don't get it.
Is this the same gun that you are complaining about the seller won't come down on the price and now you are selling if for $425?
Are they the same 422 or 2 different one?
