Ny wife got me a 908 for my birthday.
I can't tell you guys how nice it is to have a wife that tolerates and supports my gun collecting hobby. Yesterday she surprised me with the 908.
A pretty nice one at that. She went down to the LGS and asked them what I had been looking at. I can remember handling this gun several weeks ago. She made my day.

What a nice lady to do that for her husband. Had one just like it, a great gun. You have the same one I had with the de-cocker on just one side of the gun. This makes for a slimmer profile to carry instead of the de-cocker being on both sides of the slide. Good luck with it.

Congrats on the new Smith!

Man, one is enough trouble. No way I'd take on two.
I was able to hit the range today. 100 rnds ran through it flawlessly. 50 Winchester white box and 50 of my reloads. Berry's plated bullets over some Unique. The first eight shots at 20 ft.
I ran it back to 40 ft and picked up the pace a bit.
The color of these targets were horrible. Way too bright, I really think I could have done better with darker targets.
I also had my 1955 target model out. Requested some new targets and the results at 40 feet.
Much better.

Very nice

I was going to tell you what a great pistol your wife gave you but your range trip did that. Mine has never had a problem since the day I got it and it's accuracy always brings a smile to my face. It carries great both IWB and OWB and won't drag your pants down either.
Congrats on the birthday, the new gun and the great wife.

I keep thinking of buying one if the cash is ever on fire in my pocket. It would be in contrast to my 3913NL. I guess it would make a fun ebony and ivory kind of thing. This is another one that is sad to think we will never see made again. But then it's funny to think this was a "budget" kind of gun. I think they are sweet shooters from the few I have shot. They are what got me looking and I ended up with my 3913...

That's kinda funny, my LGS has a 908S I was thinking about getting for the same reason. Besides, I'd get a couple spare magazines for the 908 in the process.
