Model 39-2 slide stop issue - Need help
Number one issue is with my 39-2. The magazine will eject with no issues, unless the slide is locked open. If locked open I have to push the release and then pull it out with my fingers...
Second was with my M&P9 FS. Never had any kind of malfunction with this gun after roughly 2k rounds, but today a case got stuck in the entrance of the barrel. I had to take the gun down and remove the barrel to pull it out. The round had been fired so no danger involved. The case looked a little out of round, so Im going to say it was due to that... The ammo was WWB 115g.
Anyone have any ideas on the 39-2? I love this gun and want to take care of the issue...
TIA - Brian

Is it will ALL magazines or just one? Is the ammo commercial or reload?
If it is only one mag then you have located your problem. Let us know what you discovered.

Mdl. 39
I've seen 'mag drag' when the M-39 ejector over rides the left lip of the magazine, although I don't recall it being specific to the slide being locked open.
With the slide is locked open, look down throught the ejection port at the ejector and at the slide stop, for another possible point binding.
In the ones I recall, the ejector notably curved to the right.

The ejector looks okay. It definitely is binding somewhere, cause you can feel it almost stuck....
UPDATE* - SG-688 you were right about the slide stop.... I took the one from my nickel 39-2 and compared and theres a little divet in the center of the pin and noticed this one was worn twice as much. I installed it and it worked fine. So, one is on order... 50 bucks from Numrich... Old parts are expensive but glad theyre still around!
Thanks so much for the help. I EXTREMELY appreciate it!!

Slide stop
I ordered a model 39 slide stop from Numrich (due to now having any 39-2 ones) and its different and cannot be used. Is that part not the same... You think it would be since its used on the 39,439,539 and 639. Can anyone help me out? I think Im getting frusturated....
TIA - Brian

Maybe Fastbolt will weigh in on this topic. If he says it is a certain thing...you can take it to the bank!

If the dimple on the side of the ejector is worn, the ejector will slip inside the magazine and bind. Also when the slide is closed the ejector has spring pressure on it from a plunger in the slide which helps push on the magazine. The slide stop for the 39-2 will also fit as you say 439 539 3904 the 639 uses a stainless SS. If you can't find the correct SS I still have 3 in my parts bins. Paul
