Default S&W 6906 -CA Dept of Corrections

I've been after another compact S&W 9MM to join my 3913. Had my clean former Israeli Police Beretta 92F (CAI import marked) with me as trade bate. Swapped it even up for this former California Department of Corrections 6906 is superb condition.

I didn't clean a single thing on this pistol and it shows nearly no wear, just a tiny bit of frame rail shining and two marks- one behind the slide lock lever and the other on the trigger guard. The LGS I got it from gets some of the cleanest former LE and military weapons available.

Being a CA DOC firearm, it's probably never been loaded.

Not being a wise guy but how do you know it was a former CDC gun? Any markings?

On the right side of the slide, frame and barrel the CDC etched an ID number. I have one that is A0115 and have seen up to the C prefix. This was a way of the armoror knowing which slide and barrel went to which frame when they worked on them. The pictures do not show the other side of the gun. Mine has a TDS66XX serial number and was, according to S&W manufactured in 2000.

Marked C0026 and the dealer I traded with had purchased it in a lot of CDC guns.

Had it to the range today. SWEET. I think I put more rounds through it today than it had seen in its existence to this point.

Security Military Depot in Home, PA. Just north of Indiana. Great little one man shop. He gets some of the cleanest police and former military arms I've ever seen. Had a group of 4006 TSW's a couple weeks ago that were nearly mint for $375 each. I don't buy .40 cal though. Bought my 3913- my wife's favorite 9MM- there a few months back. It was the last one of a lot of fifteen that sold out in one week. Sells a lot of AK's, SKS's, Mosin Nagants and AR-15's at insanely low prices too.
