How do you pronounce "1006"?
Hi folks,
I am about to acquire my second S&W 1006, so I will have one with fixed sights (just had new Novak Low Profile Night Sights installed) and one with the adjustable sights!
So the all important question I have is, how do you (properly) pronounce "1006"??
Is it:
"One Thousand Six"?
"One Thousand and Six"?
"Ten Oh Six"?
"One Zero Zero Six"?
"Ten Zero Six"?
Because a fanatic S&W owner wants to know!!

The 1006 is a 10mm, so it's a Ten-oh-six. Same goes for the 4000, 4500 series, et al.

I would pronounce it ten-oh-six if it was mine. Unfortunately I can only say ten-sixty-six and ten-seventy-six around my house...

How do you pronounce "1006"?
I have always said Ten O Six, seems to be right to my senses. btw Ted Nugent said he loves the 10 MM. I think mine is the best semiauto for serious work ever invented, I like it as much as the 1911 in .45 ACP, actually it is more gun.
Oh and I say 19 11 also.

Also, since I just bought a 610 (which I pronounce six ten) and 500 new Starline cases and 1500 bullets, I just want to call one 'mine'.

Necro thread!
"Ten-oh-six" since June of 1992.
Or maybe it was July.

"Ten-0-six".
I wish I had one on NIB condition. One of the toughest, most accurate 10mm pistols ever manufactured.
It's a manstopping, fight-ending, life saving, shooting piece of ordnance! (And I've been shooting the 10mm Auto round since 1991).

Is that a serious question, how we get an "o" from the 3rd numeral?
Simple, just follow how S&W named these pistols.
3906, 5906...
We know that means the 3rd Gen version of the 39 & 59, and the 06 makes it full size stainless with TDA controls.
The 4006... same thing, but in .40
The 4506... same again, in .45
The 10-oh-6... same again! In 10mm!
The only unnatural way to call it is anything OTHER than "ten-oh-six."

On the assumption that the name relates to its caliber, as did its cousin, the 4506, I have always said "ten-oh-six."

I pronounce it, "I sadly don't have one".
If I had one, I'd call it a ten-o-six.
That, or "Bad Mofo".

There are two ways to pronounce 1006.
Looking down the sights from rear to front, it's " Oh-yeah"
Looking at it the other way it's "Oh snap"
The auto censor caught my first choice, lol.

I'd say TEN OH-OH SIX if I thought about how a bad guy would react. "O" is a letter, not a number.
