Default FRONT sight options

This may be more appropriate for the Gunsmithing section BUT: Has anyone found a high visibility front sight for dove-tailed MOD 39 slides or 3rd GEN slides. Not so much for my 3913 as for my 3906, though I'd appreciate your advice for a more visible front sight for a carry piece like my 3913 and other 3rd GEN compacts. I was told by Hi-Viz that they don't make one for the 39 series (though that doesn't necessarily mean something else wouldn't fit).
Thanks!!

You might try calling Brownell's tech support. Take some measurements of your dovetail and I'll bet they can help out.

Don't forget about Novak's. They're familiar with 3rd gens, and will sell front or rear sights separately.

S&W was nice for once an reused the 3rd gen dovetail dimensions on their 1911. So go to Brownells and check out options for that model. Novak makes two different heights of fiber optic that will fit. Youll want the short one for the 3913 for sure. I'm not sure about the full size models. I have the taller sight but I have only tried it on 5" models.

Thanks to all for your input. I'll give your suggestions a try in my quest for a more visible front sight!
