4053TSW
I got bit by the 3rd Gen bug again and picked up this little beauty today !! I was actually looking for a 4013 when I spotted it. It's in excellent condition and doesn't look to have had a lot of rounds put through it.I'll know more once I strip it and give it a good cleaning. well, enough babbling. Here are couple of pics.

I have the same one and like it. A great carry gun that shoots. If you like shooting DA revolvers, you will love the 4053 TSW. I put a Hogue handall on mine and I'm going to order a Wolf main spring for it. I just put an adapter on 2-11 round mags to use in the 4053TSW.
Good luck with yours and give us a range report.

Yup, I grew up shooting DA revolvers so this won't be a problem. Actually, I already have a DAO semi auto and enjoy the hell out of shooting it! I can't wait to get this one to the range. A range report with pics will follow soon. If I can get some time away from work in daylight. LoL

I have the standard 4053 (single stack) and its companion a 4014. Great pair. Same magazines, compact and are dependable. 3rd gen are the best.

This is a single stack as well. It's the first production 4053 TSW model without the rail. After that run they added the rail and made them double stack.

Since you were looking for a 4013 to start with, why don't I just pick up the one in the LGS here and send it to you. You can send me that old 4053 so you won't be burdened with a lesser gun. You know, something you really didn't want.
Seriously though, congrats on that pistol. The 4053 TSW was the first 3rd Gen S&W I ever had, and was also the first one I was stupid enough to let go. Probably the softest shooting .40 I've ever shot.

Nice try gunny. I think I'll hang on to it. After all, I wouldn't want to make the same mistake you did.

Was that another gun or another wife he was supposed to get???
Like many of us, I haven't been able to figure mine out - the wife, that is. She'll shoot my Sig P238, which is one of the nicest 380's and whine about the recoil. Then, she'll pick up my Kahr PM40 loaded with Ranger-T and say "Well, that wasn't bad at all."
