Default S&W .35 auto field strip

Just picked up this .35 auto. I'd like to field strip and clean it. Can anyone post instructions here? Also, before I remove the grips is there anything I need to know to get them off without damaging them? Is there a slide lock on the gun? Serial number is 32xx, I'd like to know year of mfg. Any help or info will be appreciated. Thanks.

With pistol upside down firmly press trigger guard just below trigger and pull the guard toward muzzle. One quick move. With trigger guard fully open you can lift barrel upward. It will help to have the breech block slightly toward the rear before disengaging trigger guard.
Remove screw from grip and then press grip downward toward heel. They slide downward to remove. No slidelock. Abt 1915. Good luck

Thanks for that help. Got it all apart, including removing the screw to get the bolt off. Can you tell me how tight the large screw at the rear should be after I get the gun back together? When I removed it, it didn't seem tightened hardly at all. Is that okay for it to be loose like that if I wanted to fire the gun?

I have an old box of Remington UMC ammo for this gun. The ammo looks to be in excellent condition and the gun seems sound. Anyone see any problems in trying to fire a couple rounds through it?

Default ammo

I picked up one of these little Smiths a few years ago and wanted some factory ammo to add to the collectors value of the "set". This ammo is harder to find than the pistols, I'm ashame to say what I ended up paying for an unopened box. I'm pretty sure you can use 32 auto brass as a base to make up custom loads. As I under stand the S&W 35 wasn't loaded quite as hot as the 32 ACP although I've read where some people shoot that round in 1913 pistol. Hope this is a little help.
