Default Slick Slide Info

Picked up a very nice 3953 today.

Early model with flash chromed trigger/hammer plus flat slide release.

I have an affinity for and have been fortunate enough to acquire a fair number of S&W single stack nines from a 39-2 to a 909 and a lot in between but man this thing is slim. Reminds me of the old cartoons - turn it sideways and you can barely see it!

Serial number TJA90XX. Can anyone help with the date?

Thanks

I briefly owned a 3953 and enjoyed it. Slim, it is! It shot great with it's consistent trigger. However, all my other 9mms are TDA. When one of my nieces expressed an interest in the DAO, I sold it at a discount to her just to simplify my manual of arms with my other carry pieces.
Then, to keep her sister happy, - my nieces are twins and very competitive - I had to sell my 3913 LadySmith to that niece. Family problems!

I bought one from Two Gun Jay on this Forum and it was an excellent gun. I did find that the grip felt too thin for me and sold it to a friend. I think I'm going to try a 6946 next...
