That's exactly right. He cuts them down and does such a professional job of it that they look factory.

He certainly does do an outstanding job on them & you're right, they do look factory.

That's a nice looking CS45. The BigDog grips are the ice-ing
on the cake. Had mine out for exercise a couple weeks ago,
and as usual, was amazed by the minimal recoil with the
BigDog grips on it. I think they call that "user friendly".
