Where do you buy your 3rd Gens?
I am always on the hunt for S&W 3rd Gens. In the process I have added a good dozen or so links of online gun shops that seem to regularly get in used Smiths. But I am seeing less and less of them for sale, sans the 5906 of course. So I decided it was time to reach out and see if I can add a few links to my bookmarks. I am primarily looking for places with good websites that update them regularly. Plus I figure in the process we are helping out all of our S&W Forum brothers and sisters. So where do you shop for 3rd Gens?
Just to help you out, here are a few places I have bought from or peruse regularly:
Firearms, Guns, Rifles. Grain Valley, Missouri.
Firearms For Sale
Yankee Artifacts
Downtown Guns & Ammo Coeur dAlene Idaho
AZ Guns R Us - Buy Sell Trade Guns - Phoenix Arizona - Rezz Guns

Great resource! My finds are usually gun shows or Floridaguntrader.com but I'm early enough in my addiction to not to be too picky about model (too many gaps to fill! LOL). I'd like to nominate this thread for a sticky!

I purchased all 9 of mine off GB. Took a lot of patience, but it paid off. Snagged a 4505 for less than $700.

Visit Bud's Gun Shop. They turn them fast. Great service, fair prices, have never failed me. Or my checkbook.

These guys:
Vance Outdoors Inc.
Two places you will want to visit on this web site, their "Weekly Insert" which is a reprint of the paper ad published in the Columbus Dispatch, and the "Monthly Ad" which is their monthly flyer. I don't think you can bookmark these, you'll have to take the links from the home page every time they change.

Thanks for the resources
I think the fun of these is you can bump into them anywhere used guns are sold
I think 24/7 the hunt is on since July of 11 I have bought local shops Gunbroker and folks on forums in the state of MI and country wide
Like most other gun collecting you have to be able to step up right now. 5 minutes from now it maybe gone
It seems like others are quick on the "trigger" these days
You snooze you loose
I called one of my favorite dealers yesterday to reserve a gun I seen on thier web site. My personal shopper was going to reserve it for me. He called back in 5 minutes and didnt reolize that someone was doing paperwork on it while we were on the phone I was bummed all day. I dont lose well

I see that Century International has a pile of them in there "Unadvertised Specials". They are showing 5906's,5946's, 6926 and 5926's.
Man I wish they never left Montreal, we use to be able to buy S&W1917's from them for less than 200.00 bucks!

If my wife gets mad at me, I'm blaming you. One of those places is fairly local to me and they had a very nice 3904. I'm picking it up on Friday. It's all your fault.

You can also always post a WTB in the classifieds here on S-W Forum- which might prompt somone to unload one.

Please have her direct all concerns and complaints to Smith & Wesson customer service @ 1-800-331-0852. They made 'em I just helped point you in the right direction.
Some of the best gun deals I have ever had were from referrals and posts here on the S&W forum. I consider this thread a sort of pay back while simultaneously increases the number of websites I have to check weekly.

I'll make a note, but it won't do me much good. I think she's sort of resigned to this, but it costs me because she goes out and buys herself something whenever she knows I bought a new gun.
This particular shop only does credit card sales, so I can't even hide it by paying cash.
ETA. The deed is done. 3904 in hand. Now I need to figure out a holster, look for some extra magazines, and of course get to the range to test fire it.
Oh, and my washing machine died today as well.
Can't win. Can't even claim the washing machine as a Mothers Day gift.
