Holster for 3953 same as 3914?
Tucker Gunleather has a holster on their site i like for my 3914. They list 908 and 3953 on their gun list. The 3953 should be identical to the 3913 holster right?

It should work unless it has a thumb break.

Hi Presco, no thumb break, i'm looking at cover up or cover up plus. I'm curious why it would matter though?

Should be one in the same........I usually use a Kramer #3 or a Milt Sparks VM-2, but the Tucker should be a fine choice as well.

Yes, the same unless one has a frame rail for attachments.
3953 is the DAO version of the 3913.

Two reasons: The slide on a 3953 is slightly longer than a standard 3913, and most thumb breaks are designed to snap over the hammer using the hammer spur to secure the gun into the holster and the 3953 doesn't have a hammer spur.

The original DAO series used a longer slide (protrudes farther to the rear) which concealed the rounded hammer more than the TDA series. This makes holster compatibility highly dependent on the holster style. And as prescobd pointed out the inclusion of a thumb break often makes them incompatible. But open top holsters or those where the retention is on the trigger guard or wraps around the grip will work. The later DAO series (TSW's with out without rails) were made using the same slides as their TDA counterparts.
