Range Report on 3913TSW
Last weekend I participated in a 2 day Concealed Carry/Self Defense class.
As we were checking in, it became apparent that at 61 I was, by far, the oldest participant. Then it became equally apparent that my 3913TSW was not only the oldest weapon, but the only non-Glock/M&P/HK/Ruger on the firing line.
Our instructor made a derogatory comment or two about my old gun, and then we got on with the class.
Fast forward to the end of day #2: 650 or so rounds later, the TSW had functioned flawlessly with no cleaning, oiling, or any attention whatsoever.
A Glock 19 broke (!). The Ruger LC9 retired because the owner couldn't pull that long D/A trigger anymore, and the TSW was as accurate and reliable as anything in the class.
Old guys, and old guns rule!

My LGS has one, looks nice too, has the tac rail under the barrel.. I took a little extended peek at it but didn't handle it. I just might have to fondle that along with the 65-3 3" I was drooling on... Been thinking about that one all weekend telling myself it isn't nice enough to buy for $430.00.... what say anyone on that..

If the 3" M65 is in good shape I'd go for it. If it's not worth $430 now, It will be by the time you decide to sell it....but that day may never come.

Nice group-I still foresee one of these in my near future if I can't find a decent price.

Yeah, what is it about instructors making derogatory statements about certain older firearms?
Glad to see the "old"(HA!) 3913 showed up the "younger" crowd!
And just to say it; I see all the hoopla over the new Shield pistol...wonder what kinda fanfare a reissued 3913 and CS9 might have created? Dale

Notice the plastic guns quit before the all metal gun!
Love my 3913TSW too and I'm not even old (41)!

Ok, just checked out that 3913T... it's available, tag says 450 cash I think... comes with one mag and the Tac rail under the barrel. On a side note.... I put the 65-3 3" in the closet.... I feel better now, gonna start a new thread and add some info about a few other 3" guns he has..

More proof that you can't beat a 3913, as if any more was needed!
And I own HK's too! Enjoy that 3913TSW!! You are well armed with it. Regards 18DAI

Doesn't surprise me if one of these "tacticool" instructors felt an all metal gun was outdated. They probably would have crapped themselves if someone came with a model 36.
Nice report, glad the 3913 ran like a champ.

Hey turbo38gn, I know which 3913TSW you are talking about - I've eyed it a few times myself when I've been to Mike's place, and it looks pretty nice and it's a good price.
I just picked up a 5906 he was holding for me, and had him put a 5943 in the closet to hold. I'm running out of money here! Anyone need a kidney? I have two, I'll let the other one go for cheap.....
