Default I spotted a 2206

What's everyone's experience on this pistol? I found one at my local shop but haven't decided if I'm going to pull the trigger yet. It looks nice (not as good as 41 of course but not as bad as 22a) and felt ok in my hand. Any input will be helpful.

Thanks.

It is an excellent, albeit heavy, .22 pistol. It is well built, accurate, reliable and a whole lot of fun. Just like its alloy framed brethren. If the price is right I would jump on it. They are getting harder and harder to find.

I really like this series 422/622/2206/2213/2214 of pistol. One of the things that I like most about them is how light they are, but that is where the 2206 is the exception. The all stainless construction does make it on the heavy side. If you are ok with that, then by all means buy it. But you might want to pick up a 422/622 and feel the difference. Although mine are both accurate, none of these models are going to be a competitive bullseye gun. For a totin' around the ranch 22lr, the alloy framed ones can't be beat in my opinion. I try and keep an eye out for a 4" 2206, but they always seem to go for more money than I want to spend.

They are nice, accurate guns. The 4.5" ones are less common than the 6", they use model 41 magazines, and be sure the rear sight leaf screw is snug.

My 2206 is a great .22 LR, I can tell you it's a real tack driver.
Even with an inexpensive Red-Dot.
No problems to date, it digests everything I feed it.
Wish I could find some more PMC "Scoremaster" 40 gr. Solid - "22SM" ammo......
I've got two M41's, 5.50" and 7.00" and the 2206 with it's 6.00" barrel is just as accurate.
Regards,
BM1

+1 on what Murphydog said about the rear sight screw. That is the only problem I've had with mine. Love it and my 622 and 422 (all 6in). I just wish, I could get my hands on a 4in.

(for me) These guns are every bit as good as Ruger's MK series.

This is going to be the longest wait ever for me. I just went into store and "purchased" it. But apparently it just sold to the shop as used instead of consignment. Therefore the shop need to hold for 30 days, than I can start my paperwork (which in CA is 10 days wait). So even though I paid in full (I don't have to) today, I wont have this gun til end of May.
