I have really been "lusting" after a 3913NL for awhile now. So today I gave in and laid out the $$ and now I am satisfied (for now)
Lord willing it will be here next week & I'll post pics. I send out the check tomorrow. There is another one on GB right now that is up to $672 in the 15 minute rule... these things are fetching a long $ right now for some reason.
Maybe S&W should be paying attention to a 3rd gen gun line that people are paying more for than their current new stock?

congrats on your purchase, I just hope you did not have to pay what the bidding battle on GB went up to, $686 for a used 3913NL with no box or papers. I think I will sand "Lady Smith" off of the wifes 3913 and sell it......just kidding.

No I bid on that early but it got way to "Hot" for me and I bailed in the low $500s. I found another one actually.

You probably knocked my bid out of the lead. When it got up to NIB price range, someone wanted it alot more than I did. I have two 3913 now and love them both. Just thought a NL would have been a nice addition to the herd. I'm left handed, so I favor the old standard 3913.

I have a 3913 too but wanted the more concealabilty and the look of the NL. Mostly the look and no Ambi decocker.

big time congrats on that 3913 NL! I'd love to have one.

I found a mint/LNIB 4014 with papers, extra original mag, etc., last year on another auction site and won it for $375. Same with another LNIB 5906 for $365. Kind of spoiled me for paying over $500, but the fact is, they are worth it.

And you are right about the market. I've been preaching to the choir for a few years on this. The only thing close to a 3913 NL is a SIG P239 Gen2. They go for about $900.

Everybody is hyping the "Shield", and they seem like nice guns. But there are many of us that like metal framed pistols. I don't plan to buy a Shield, unless it's something to throw in the boat or in my waders when fly fishing. If I buy another pistol it will either be a LNIB/NIB 3913/14 or 4013/14, or it will be a SIG P239. It's too bad, because neither will generate any new sales for S&W.

I believe they could sell 3913/3914/4013/4014 /4513/Shorty 9 & Shorty40 type pistols all day at $800+, and should really consider this/They could sell a LOT of Scandium framed pistols such as a Shorty40 if they would bring them back.

I picked up one last month, a great gun!!
