Model 41 availability?
Anyone know when S&W will build new model 41's and make them available?

Given the nature of this pistol I would presume that S&W makes them in batches and while they are desirable to some I don't think they sell as well as other S&W products. Be patient, check Gallery of Guns and Sports South as possible sources for your dealer to call once you've established that they have one intheir inventory.
With Gallery of Guns you can set up an e-mail notification that they have one.

From what I can tell, the 41s trickle out of S&W to the distributors, who give them to dealers. Like anything, I think the distributors give first dibs to the bigger dealers.
My LGS couldn't get one forever so I went to Buds Guns website, created an account, clicked on the model I wanted and used the option to tell me when it gets in stock. Three weeks later I got an email that it was in stock and I logged on and bought it. Otherwise, a dealer occassionally has a new one on GunBroker. These are the fastest options IMHO.

Of all the handguns I own, I would never sell my Model 41. It's that good.

Being very luckey I have both a M41 and a M46 as well. Neither are For Sale as they are just too good to let go of. In Canada here we have trouble even finding used ones which are like Hens teeth persay. A new one would be exceptionally rare here period.
