Default I need some info about Performance Center 945

I have some questions about my P.C. 945 that perhaps someone can help me with. I bought the gun new and it has been shot very little, but there is no usual model number markings such as 945 dash?. Just the serial number is stamped on the frame in 2 places. I am curious if the factory missed the model markings?
Any info would be helpfull. Thanks in advance.
Terry

My opinion,

you have the best of the bunch 945 with the Bomar sight and no firing pin safety.

since yours came in a plastic case....its likely just an early model 945 before they started marking a model number on the frame.

your serial number is actually 3 locations. very tiny over the top grip frame screw area non ejection side.

Thanks for the info. When I bought the gun there was supposed to be a very limited run of 500 according to the shop where it was purchased. I assumed the the LEW was a Lew Horton run. I see the small spot you are talking about above the grip screw on the left side of the frame.
Would you have any idea what this may be worth, It has fewer than 500 rounds through it, and due to back injuries I no longer shoot in any pin matches or I.P.S.C .

I have been out of the PC buying game for sometime.

since its an early model, very clean, and appears to have all the stuff that PCs came with.....easy minimum is 1000$.

however....

What I would do is conduct some internet research here on the classified, other gun boards and gun broker to see what your particular model are selling for. if they are pushing for 1200....go that route.

round count/history, having all the stuff and plenty of detailed nice pictures is what sells these guns.

good luck

You have one of the original Lew Horton guns. There is no dash on it because there is no fireing pin safety.

The dash 1 comes as a result of the safety.

I would say that it may not command any premium over a newer one, but I have been wrong before.

Nice gun,
Bob

I've got one of the very 1st 1999 RSR specials. Note the converted 4506 mags. The factory hadn't started making dedicated 945 mags yet.

What a great gun!!! Puts a big grin on my face every time I shoot it.
