Almost escaped the local gunstore / range and drifted by the used case on the way out. I saw the familiar shape of a third-generation S&W there amid the newer black plastic pistols - and found it was a CS 9. Picked it up, examined it a couple of minutes, and then called for paperwork and a pen.
That was a few hours ago and I have already ordered some Big Dog grips for it as I can't stand Hogue grips on anything at all, let alone a pistol this elegant and small.
From reading on this site it seems the earlier models had a single-side safety / decocker (like mine) and later ones had them on both sides - is that correct?
What were the production years of this pistol? My impression was that they weren't made too long, but I don't know.
Can anybody suggest a good OWB holster for this pistol?
This pistol has a very interesting and seems to me unique recoil spring, with these wide, flat coils. Wouldn't it be a good idea to order another one from S&W while they're still available?
In any event, I am hugely pleased with the purchase. Thanks in advance for any answers to the above.
