Unusual, but not rare nor collectable. "Put Away" guns, especially in very common pistols must be in the
100% NIB category to ever gain any chance of appreciation in your lifetime.
It is a 3913 but in DAO, so in terms of desirability and retail value, it falls into the trap that any retired "cop carry" piece does- most people want their firearms to be DA/SA, mostly avoiding the DAO. This is usually evidenced by comparing the retail of the selling prices.
Your selection of aftermarket grips is from what I have encountered- all but non existent as is the case with most S&W wrap-arounds.
Hogue Wood Stocks for 3913 Really cool stuff can be done to them with a steady hand and a soldering gun tip!
I look for the common used S&W semi autos to be in the $325 to $425 price range. At this point, the original box is nothing more than an amusement, not a big bargaining factor... again- unless it's NIB (and you perceive a need for that and intend to not shoot it).
It is a great CCW gun.
