That is a lot of money for that gun. I'd have to guess that it was a hard core collector, a really wealthy one at that.

I don't follow the S&W autos much but one of these 6454s showed up today at a friend's shop. The fellow who has it wants him to buy it based on the $4560 price referenced in the link in the above post. Anyone of any thoughts on what one of these is actually worth and what a reasonable offer for one might be? Thanks.
