Hi Folks, newbie here...

I'm considering doing some smithing on my 5.5" 22A. My fundamental question is whether the 4" sight rail will bolt onto the 5.5" barrel without drilling/tapping new holes; Does anyone know if the first two rail mounting screws forward of the breech in the same place on the 4" as they are on the 5.5"?

On my 5.5, the first screw forward of the breech is approx. 11/32 fwd of the breech, and the second screw is approx. 2-13/32 fwd of the breech. Or conversely, if I hook my good 'ol Stanley tape to the back of the rear sight, the first screw is 3-13/16" fwd and the second screw is 6-5/16" fwd of the rear sight. Can anyone check those meas. on their 4" rail?

Really, no one has both a 4" and 5.5" they can take pictures of side by side?? I thought some of y'all were enthusiasts!!
