Default Trouble sighting in 3609

Range day with my new 3906 and everything out past 7 yards was high. Cranked the rear sight all of the way down and everything is still high but getting better. Had the problem regardless of round; light range ammo or very hot Ranger 127gr +p+. Since the rear sight won't go down any further, anyone have any suggestions?

If the gun is grouping good just high, you can swap out for a taller front sight. Most had a .229" front but S&W had .204-.245" and Novaks can make any size you want. You need to have a 25yd measurement for them to figure out the size. I believe Dawson Precision also has a chart on their website to figure it out. You may also want to go with one of their fiber optic fronts.

+1 on the taller front sight. Just be very careful removing the old one and installing the new one. They are a tapered dovetail and only go in and out one direction. Most also fit very tight. You do not want to break off your new sight in the dovetail. That's a bad day.
