Default New to me 1980 41

Never owned one or shot one but always wanted to try one out. Ended up trading local for what appears to be mint condition example with 2 factory mags. No box or papers so will need to learn breakdown and clean procedures and will pick a manual up soon. Being mainly a revolver guy any information or pros and cons to these fine looking pistols would be appreciated.
Thanks
gary

That's a beauty.
Breakdown is a simple as you can get. Check Youtube for video.
As a preview, to release the barrel, lock back the slide, place a finger in the trigger guard and pull it down, and then lift up on barrel.
Slide can then be released and slid forward.

Hey there,
Thats a really nice looking Model 41. Congrats on a nice acquisition. In my camp there are no "cons" to the 41. You will love it.

Nice M41. Enjoy it.
For a manual you can download one from Smith and Wesson:

You are going to love it. One of the best .22 target pistols ever made. Try shooting CCI Standard Velocity in it. I would recommend you stay away from high velocity ammo.

Look at all of those Beautiful Barrels and Mags. Makes me drool for more of them myself. Only have 5 mags. 1 barrel each gun as well. In time if the old girl don't know I will build up my parts.

I used to pick up those bricks at Dick's for $25. Now they are $30 if you can find them in stock. I'm glad I stashed a few away now.
