Just purchased a S&W 6904 at a local shop. Wondering what the best in the pants holsters are for this weapon. There isn't a lot of selection to walk in and try out holsters in my town, so wanting to buy online. Everything listed talks about the newer model pistols they fit, so need a little help here from some more experienced shooters.

Crossbreed. They have ones for the 5906, same width just longer grip and slide. They might even list the 69xx. My 5946 is carried in a Crossbreed made for the 69xx

Milt Sparks Summer Special.

I agree with the Milt Sparks or maybe the High Noon series. The 69XX guns are light enough that they only need one attachment point on the belt. I've used both kydex and leather and prefer leather for 3rd Gens.

Can't agree more ........ Milt Sparks..........

I've been using his Summer Specials (I &II) and Executive Companion holsters for 6906/04s and 3913/14s for more than 20 years now!!!!

You can chase "something better" .... been there done that......... but in the end the Milt Spark's stuff works!!!!!!

Holsters are like shoes, hats, shirts....no one type will fit everyone. For instance most people here will give a thumbs up to Milt Sparks but i cant. Their loops are too close together for my taste. I prefer them spread out so that the weight of the gun is better distributed and not concentrated in one area. Other people dont like inside holsters at all. Your best bet is to try them on first. Maybe a friend ir relative has one or your local gun store has some and will let you try them. But, in the end you'll wind up like everyone else here, a drawer or box full of holsters that didnt work out
