Default Training Exercise

Is this a valid training exercise for grip and trigger control? I came up with it to try and correct my problems which are many. It seems that those who know what they are doing emphasize control of the grip with the left side weak hand and the trigger with the trigger finger and thumb. This seems to isolate the two and helps keep the two separate when returning to a normal left over right hand grip. Excuse the video quality.
