Picked up a 945 PC, looking for some date history

Hi Guys,

I picked up this 945 last week and I am trying to find some info about it.

I have looked in my "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" but this pistol is not there. It is a 4" gun, stainless steel, came with a PC aluminum case. The serial # is RSA04XX.

Anyone know the DOB for this one? Any help is much appreciated.

Is that a 4 inch version?

Without looking it up, if so, I would say around 2004.

Don't bet the farm on it though. There were two runs of them. Nice guns...

I rarely see them locally and when I do they are priced high usually. I think I remember seeing one in movie Beverly Hills Cop. Also a S&W model 3000 in that movie.
