Looks like you are in the wrong listing. Keyholing can be manythings including ammo, muzzle damage, poor rifling (undersand at least one 41 bbl shipped unrifled?). Suggest you give more details and pictures if possible.
Ammo
frequency (all or one or some?)
muzzle pictures
Result of bbl inspection BEFORE and AFTER complete cleaning (including any drag or tight/loose spots)

Ammo was a CCI Pistol Match and CCI Standard Velocity. I will get muzzle pictures. This 41 was the first shooting out of the box from smith.

Wink

Did you clean the barrel before you did your shooting? Barrel may have had grease, oil, etc in it. Try a good cleaning and see what you've got.

You're not shooting a thin paper target hanging loose from the top clamps, are you?

No. Competion Bullseye Target pinned to ridgid cardboard. I have a browning buckmark for back up no problems. Will try a good cleaning then if it does not work of to Smith.Brand new barrel though.

That is strange for a M41, especially with CCI SV ammo. My M41 shoots consistently small groups with CCI SV, Wolf MT and SK Std+.

Like the others posted, give the bore a cleaning with a good solvent and inspect the crown for possible damage. Good luck.
