Default love my Pro series 1911, hate the loose trigger

I bought a used but like new Pro series 5" 1911 and the thing is a tack driver. This is my third S&W1911, the others were an E series and a Gunsite 1911PD. All the triggers are loose and sloppy with both vertical and horizontal play. has anyone else here replaced their triggers? I am thinking of a 10-8 flat faced long trigger.

I've done a few of my own 1911s with Greider precision triggers with outstanding results. Greiders are made on the original Videki tooling and the shoe is oversize to permit precise fitting to a particular gun.
Plus, I've always like the long lop triggers with the three lightening holes. You get it fit properly then you can take a small burr or conical stone turned by hand and lightly chamfer each hole on both sides... Classic old school custom look

This is the one I fit to my old Colt Series 70 which I'm tinkering with thus the reason the trigger is out. You can see the little chamfer cuts I'm referring to.

Brownells has them

For an ultra smooth trigger, you'll also want a trigger track stone to deburr & polish the channels in the frame where the trigger bow rides.

Cheers
Bill
