Default 4567 again, yay

In early 1992 I was in Tucson for my father's funeral and helping my mom deal with everything. I took the 686 I inherited from my dad to the shop we used to deal with back then (since long closed) to arrange for it to be shipped to me here in Colorado. As I was in the store I spotted the 4567 and knew I had to have it.

Fast forward a few years and going through a divorce most of my stuff got sold off. Well I just came across a nice used 4567 and couldn't pass it up. The tritium is done in the sights, no box or papers but the pistol looks great.

I'll have it next week, now I'll need to find one more mag and a good holster for fall/winter carry under a jacket/fleece. If this one shoots as good as my last I'll be very happy.

Anyone suggest a good place to find a spare mag?

Congratulations on scoring a 4567

FYI... Trijicon will relamp those sights for you.
They billed me only $57 to do mine. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected it to cost a bit more. I only shipped the bare slide.
You'll need to contact them for a return authorization first, see here:
https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/suppo...horization.php

Mags for that model are standard 45xx 8rounders. You'll find new & used regularly on all the auction sites. NOS of course commands a premium. There have also been small batches of 45xx mags showing up at Midway sporadically. (warehouse finds perhaps?) Act fast as they don't last long!

Anyway... Again congrats' and of course you know we'll need to see pics

Cheers
Bill

I saw that on GB I think. Nice score. I just won a pristine looking 4506 on there....going back to my 3rd generation roots. I will send you an extra mag if I can find some around here. I have lots of factory replacement mag springs, but understand that you need the whole magazine...

Welcome to the 4567 club! Not many made somewhere around 1100. Here are some pictures of mine until you receive yours.

625, you read my mind!! I just logged on and was going to ask for pics to hold me over lol. They are a chunk of metal but the one I had was a great shooter, very accurate. Hopefully it'll be here before next weekend. Just looked it up in the SCSW and in there it says 1236 produced-you sir are very good! I know there was a group marked "Performance Center", the one I had and the one I'm getting were/are not, my original also had the blue grip-the "new" one doesn't.

The other one I had I put on the Hogue rubber grips, thinking of doing that again but I'll wait til I get it and run some rounds through it first.

st regis, thank you very much, get in touch when you know and we'll work something out.

It's interesting to note the discrepancy between the SCSW and the original product information flyer regarding the numbers produced. The flyer (one's offered on an auction site now) notes that 2500 were going to be produced whereas the SCSW says 1236. Just more curiosity for the interested.

The 4567 shipped out Monday, hopefully it'll be in my grubby hands by Saturday at the latest. Woohoo, got some ammo ready to run through it and see where I go from there.

There's a downside in that a long sought gun has come available (3" 64 NY-1). I may end up selling this 4567-how's that for messed up? Thinking of selling before I even get it, but that's the only way I'd be able to grab the 64. Hahaha, life is sure funny.
