Bill Blankenship may have won one or some of the classes that year.
He seems to figure prominently in Camp Perry shoots back then.
Harmon won the Center Fire Pistol Championship (Clarke Trophy) for
that year. I think I may letter this one.
Then again, I may shoot it.

I would do both ! Shoot it, and letter it.

I really loved the .38 Master I had from the late 60s. An awesome gun. One of very few I wish I had back.

I paid a shooter-grade price, even though it's supposedly unfired.
I figure any value premium (IF any) won't be enough to make it worth selling it, buying one that's shooter-grade and fixing a thing that may be wrong with the replacement.

I'll probably shoot AND letter it.

I lucked into this one. It fell in my lap.
An old friend of mine decided to thin the herd, and he didn't like the way it felt in his hand.
I was going to buy his 25-5 from him, but when I mentioned that I keep hoping I could find a 52 that I could afford, he let me know that he had one that he was about to put on gunbroker.

So, I bought it instead of the 25.
I still want the 25-5, but don't have the money now.
I'm not complaining.
I've wanted a 52 for 34 years.
Now, I have one.

Pretty easy to look it all up.
Just go to the NRA website under outdoor pistol trophies.
2700 = Harrison trophy
.22 = Walker trophy
CF = Clarke trophy
.45 = Orton trophy
