I bought a S&W BG 380 with the Insight laser a while back. The first time at the range the laser died. Sent the laser back to S&W and after about 2 months received a new CT replacement kit. 
I was starting to get annoyed at the long wait but this surprise was well worth the wait! Had to do a little filing before it would drop in but that was no big deal. You can see in one of my pics the area that needed filed. This CT unit is so much better than the crappy IS unit. The laser seems so much brighter also. Even came with new red buttons. They may sell this as a replacement too if any of you want it. The product code is 3002074.
