5906 Pachmayr grips?
New to the forum. I'm a retiring LEO and am trying to recreate a weapon I once carried for years before we were forced to hand them in for Glocks. I have a 5906 TSW now and I need to find the Pachmayr my weapon sported. Then a set of trijicons will finish off the restoration. Any help is appreciated.

I wish they were Hogues. I can find those. They were the Pachmayr with the gold medallion on both sides. Very beefy grips that fit me perfect many years ago.

Goes to show you learn something new every day. I've never seen Pac grips for a Smith auto.

I found one set on gunbroker right now for 60.00 that looks like a truck ran over them. Was hoping someone knew of a hidden stash. Thanks

Keep checking ebay, they do show up occasionally. Also check your local gun shops, you'd be surprised what you will find hanging around. Option three would be local gun shows, if they have them in your area, that's the last time I saw a set....

Uncle Mikes also offered a set that greatly increased the grip circumference.

pachmayr grips
I have a set of Hogue grips that was on a 5906 I recently purchased. I found a pair of S&W grips for a 5906 on e-bay for $25.00 and I cleaned them and look great. The pair of Hogue grips that came with it are like new. I will sell them for $25.00 but I do not know if the grips will fit the your model 5906.

I recently put a nos set of the Pachmayrs on a 5946, but they're uncomfortably large for my hands. As a combination 'Welcome to the Forum' and 'Happy Retirement' gift, PM me a shipping address and I'll send them to you.

Wow am I glad I found these forums. I could not find these darn grips anywhere and now with many people's help I have. Thank you to everyone who have helped me locate them. Special thanks to Kaveman who had very graciously offered me a set he no longer uses. I sent you a pm Kaveman and please include a return address so I can repay with a token of my appreciation.

Happy to help out. I looked for the Pachmayrs for several months having the same luck you were having but then stumbled across this set at a local shop in the $5 bargain bin. Just passing along my good fortune because the grips don't work so well for me.
I've been on a tear searching for the 'perfect' grips for the double-stack third gens. Hogue rubbers too thick. Hogue woodies too thick. Now the Pachmayrs are too thick. Just picked up a bunch of nos Uncle Mikes but haven't mounted them yet for a feel. Probably,.........too thick. My hands aren't small and I wasn't expecting to have any trouble but it looks like I'm stuck with the factory grips(which feel great but are too slick). Gonna try my hand at heat stippling on some beat up delrins when I get some time.
Anyway, glad I could help you get your old friend back into duty trim. I'll get the grips to you by the end of the week.
