Need some help with the value of a model 645. The guy says it is pristine. No box, but what I can tell about the picture. The gun is very nice. Just one magazine.

Just last month I paid $400 for a very clean 645. 3 mags, & no box. He originally wanted $500, but I told him I would only pay $400. I left him my phone number, & he called a week later saying I made the highest offer so we met FTF, & $400 later, I took it home. Very nice gun. GARY

Fortunately, these iconic pistols can still be had for a very reasonable price. They are not "rare" yet, but it may take some patience to find one in "like new" condition. But being all stainless, even a "cosmetically-challenged" acquisition is fairly easy to restore to a great looking one with a little DIY effort.

Nice! Looks like the rear sight might have been buggered a bit on that one... :(
Maybe, but the photo makes it look worse than it really is. It's not an unfired safe queen. It was carried by a local cop for years, & has a 4506 safety lever. It's very accurate, has a wonderful trigger, & is utterly reliable. GARY

I just picked up a 645 with some scratches but in pretty good shape for $450. It came with five yellow-follower mags - no box/paperwork. It's been fired but not a ton and has the 4506 safety. having owned a 4566 and 4506 (both I regret selling) I greatly prefer the 645 grips and contour of the backstrap, as well as the checkering on the front and back strap. I did order some new Pachmayr grips as the old ones were worn from carry. I'm very happy.
